Hello. I just recently reinstalled Comodo Internet Security on my computer, and I’m shocked at how slow the updates are downloading. I have a 20mbps internet connection, and these updates are taking 1-3 hours apiece. Is this a known problem? I don’t know that I’ll be able to keep this application if this is the speed that I can expect.
Normally the download of the signatures should not take that long nor would the actual updating process take that long.
As always make sure there are no leftovers of security programs you had installed in the past. A possible left over can cause all sort of “strange effects”. Please run clean up tools for all security programs you had in the past. A list can be found here at the Eset website: ESET Knowledgebase .
Do you have other security programs installed? If so which one(s) are running in the background and which one(s) on demand?
