Extensions shortcut keys do not work on some specific pages

Specific symptoms of the bug and steps you can take to reproduce it (step by step).

When you’re browsing the official Chrome Extensions site (https://chrome.google.com/extensions), all shortcut keys for installed extensions won’t work. Switch to a tab which is not one of those pages and the shortcut keys work.

As an addition to this, is it possible to make this work even in new tab page, options pages, etc (default for addons not possible due to restrictions from Google)?

Step by step:

  • Add an extension with shortcut key support, f.e. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ocllfmhjhfmogablefmibmjcodggknml

  • In case of this extensions: add more tabs and try to cycle between them using keycombo “Ctrl+~”. When you enter the tab of the extension page, you can not cycle through using the key combo.

Specific steps you have taken to try to resolve it.

Tried other Chromium based browsers, SRWare Iron does work…
