Exclusions - why not scan Comodo's path?

I’m new to comodo CIS.

Why not have comodo scan it’s own path?

C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\

In CIS 4.x, I see that under the Exclusions, that path is listed.

From what I read about how the Exclusions work, any entry in the Exclusions will still be scanned. BUT, you will NOT see any warnings IF a virus is detected!

Is that true, about how the Exclusions work?

Why not scan the comodo’s path: C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\

It seems many virus attempt to attack the anti virus programs in PC’s to try to disable them from detecting the malicious code.
