Exclusion not working on removable media (dvd, flash dr.). Reports won't go away

While trying to copy file from dvd, Comodo reports malware. I clicked add to exclusion list, but it just gets reported again (I stopped counting after 10 reports)

  1. CPU Athlon 64 X2 4600+
  2. Windows XP pro, service pack 3, 32 bit
  3. CIS 3.8.64739.471
  4. Antivirus - default settings
  5. Firewall - custom policy mode
  6. Defense+ - training mode
  7. Administrator account

The Exclusion List seems to be broken in this version. It only works with right click scanning.

See here.

I know there is a similar topic, but I wonted to point out that on removable media (dvd in this case) when a threat is detected the reports just won’t go away, even after adding the threat to exclusion list.
The reports basically block your work and don’t go away.

Same problem exists on flash drives.

Not fixed in newest version.

  1. CPU Athlon 64 X2 4600+
  2. Windows XP pro, service pack 3, 32 bit
  3. CIS 3.8.65951.477
  4. Antivirus - default settings
  5. Firewall - custom policy mode
  6. Defense+ - training mode
  7. Administrator account

External drives are not supposed safe by definition as a means of security by CIS.

They aren’t going to fix it. We’ve had this discussion before. They say it’s for protection against something coming in from a removable media source that’s not deemed “safe”. All I asked is to have the choice, but went through a litany of discussion where the issue wasn’t resolved. If I want to copy files to/from my own “safe” removable media, I just disable CAV (what a nuisance).
