Excessive queries of cpf.exe

When looking at my system’s the file activity (via Systernal’s FileMon) I noticed that there is an extreme amount of traffic going on, where explorer.exe is querying cpf.exe about a dozen times a second:

Is this normal? And if so, what’s happening there?

I’m running Version 2.4.18.184 under Win XP Pro SP2.

I had the same problem, but I finally found a solution:

Right-click the tray icon and uncheck “Enable Tray Animation”
