lately I receive emails with this:
ERROR: can’t connect to CWAF rules server. See logs for details
sometimes they are updated and sometimes get the error, it may be due.

Hi we have been getting this error from day one. and just don’t worry about it cause they do update most times.
May be there was something wrong with waf.comodo.com.
There is complex system with authorization, updates, synchronization etc.
Also, we produce rulesets releases approximately twice a month, so making update once a day you’ll never miss rules update.
How come on some servers where we have uninstalled Comodo WAF using “/var/cpanel/cwaf/scripts/uninstall_cwaf.sh” we still keep getting emails like
Cron /var/cpanel/cwaf/scripts/updater.pl 2>&ERROR: can’t connect to CWAF rules server. See logs for details.

Seems your uninstall script is no longer working properly!?
Seems it’s just the cron left behind…
You are right. After uninstall CWAF there is a job in crontab. I think it will be fixed in the next plugin release.
