I’m having a problem doing a restore with CBU. On restart I get error 46 and says backup failed. I’ve tried this on Windows Server 2008 R2 in the past with the same results. This only seems to happen with the new 3.0 version.

Are you trying to restore or to backup at Windows startup?
Where is the backup stored? Is it on an external harddisk?

Sorry for the late response. Yes it is on an external disk. I have found that the disk repowers so to say when windows starts up(found out during a disk check). Disk has proved to be troublesome for restoring snaphots wether it be from Windows Server Backup or other things.
You can try to move the backup on a drive of an internal harddisk before restoring.
