Hi I wanted to erase all my fire wall activity and have my firewall act and learn as if it were freshly unpacked whats a way to do that and erase the logs.
Hi,
Yes that’s possible, open the GUI to to Firewall, Advanced, Network Policy and remove all the rules except these
To clear the log, open the log viewer by first selecting “view firewall log” and then the more button, there should be an option to remove/clear the log.
I’ll also move this post to the appropriate board.
Where is the Log Viewer ???
To erase the firewall logs (i.e. the activity report of the firewall): click on the “firewall” icon at the top of the CIS main window, then click on the “common tasks” icon on left hand side, then click on “view firewall events.” The firewall events log will open in a new window: Click the “more” button at the bottom and the CIS log viewer will open. From the CIS log viewer you can erase the firewall activity by selecting the following item from the “file” menu: File > Clear > Firewall logs.
If you mean that you want CIS to revert back to only the default firewall rules that are present when you install CIS, then then you need to open the network security policy window (click on the “firewall” icon at the top of the CIS main window, then click on the “advanced” icon on left hand side, then click on “network security policy.” This will open the “network security policy” window shown in Ronny’s post above). Select all the rules except the ones shown in Ronny’s post and then click “remove.” Note, this will cause CIS firewall to unlearn everything you have taught it (it will not have any impact on the defense + rules).
That option doesn’t seem to be there anymore since I upgraded to v4. Has it been moved or left out? If left out, this is a problem as I need to clear logs often when testing stuff…
tks

The option has been missing since RC and no one has said if it’s intentional or a bug, least as far as I know. I really hope its just a bug because if its by design its a daft move.
To clear the logs now, disconnect from the net, exit the firewall and delete the .sdb file.
in XP: c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\comodo\firewall pro
win 7: C:\ProgramData\COMODO\Firewall Pro
Hi Das,
If you use the system variable it can be presented in this way:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Comodo\Firewall Pro\cislogs.sdb
Indeed Ronny, I just didn’t want to confuse those that might read this topic, especially those that don’t want to read the manuals
Oops seems i did 88)
Is there really no easier way to erase the logs? ???
I also want to know.
Not at the moment, I hope they fix this in the next release…
Only thing you can do is set the logfile to max size 1MB so it doesn’t get to large if that’s the problem.
wow someone in the development team should go to a training session about user-friendliness… 88)
in the CIS 5 beta the ability to erase the logs is back :-TU
