I have CAVS (latest). As I don’t use any POP3 email - only Google’s Gmail with their own virus scanner - I suppose the Email Scanner of CAVS is of no use to me. I switched it off, hoping to save some system resources. Meanwhile the Windows Task Manager was open to show any reactions of the processes. No change as far as I could notice! Anybody knows how it works - is the Email Scanner not running continuously? Is it useless to turn it off - does the scanner only make any job when a program such as Outlook is running?
Thanks,
/L
EDIT: I realize that this thing about resources; in this case, may appear like overkill. Or like we say in my country, “shooting mosquitos with a cannon”…
