Well… you can try here, here, here, then here and last but not least here for “PORT UNREACHABLE”
Hi Vicont,
since you performed the test while emule was running, it is logical that pcflank saw that the port was open. If it was closed or stealthed it would mean that the other emule clients wouldn’t be able to connect with yours!
For correctly testing if this port remains closed when emule does not run, you must exit emule first and then perform the test.
Hi Pina,
not only me but lots of other users had made the tests and the ports are closed when emule is not running.
The problem is that the network monitor shows that the data pass. right? Although the application monitor drops those packets iCFP does not show it. Even if it is not a great issue, I would like also to get a report for the application monitor that drop these packs.
Please go ahead and ask this feature at the wishlist.
Okay i got some strange problem with eMule, port 4662 TCP not reachable but it is when i disable firewall.
My settings are allow tcp/udp on all ip and port for emule.exe and skip parent and advanced security checks, also open 4662 tcp and 4672 udp in firewall for incomming connection, and disabled advanced attack detection as well, though my port 4662 is unreachable anyway unless i disable firewall.
I checked log file but theres not a single line alert about port 4662 in it.
From your description, it sounds as if you have only created Application Monitor rules for emule. You also need to create Network Monitor rules as well, in accordance with the first post of this thread, otherwise the traffic is not allowed, regardless of the application’s permissions.
Regarding the lack of log entries, make sure in the Network Monitor that your Block All rule is set to log (“Create an alert when this rule is fired” should be checked), and that in Activity Logs you are logging Network alerts (right-click on an entry, Log Events From, and be sure that Network Monitor is checked).

i had network monitor rule to, but it still didnt worked untill ir rebooted.
pandlouk:
I want to thank you for your topic about bittorrent & emule. they were very helpful with my problem with utorrent, ■■■■ with one change. First you should know I am useing verson 1.6 of uTorrent, and for me leaving the UPnP box checked a lound for me to get the green NAT… So thanks again, you were a real big help… :BNC :■■■■
niceonewill
You are welcome (:HUG)
If you managed to get the green light, only by enabling UPnP means that you have activated the UPnP feature of your router and you have not configured your router for port forwarding.
I just want to say thankyou and how I appreciate all the help in this forum.
(:HUG)
Thanks, flygirlnz, and welcome to the forums! (:WAV)
If you haven’t already been there, the compiled FAQ is a great place to start, divided out by subject, with links to each topic. https://forums.comodo.com/index.php/topic,894.0.html I highly recommend that you work your way through some of those, especially the explanation of Network Control Rules and of Comodo’s layered rules, plus any specifics that you may use such as p2p applications (utorrent, azareus, etc).

Thanks alot for your help Pina. I’ve gone through thos topics and made some changes to my Network Monitor Rules. Added “accepting ICMP In/Out where ICMP message is ANY” rule and that solved my Port Unreachable problem concerning my mentioned logs.
But… however… my Low-ID problem remains unchanged. In eMule it still says “Low-ID” and “Firewalled” for the Kad Network. When I test the ports in Emule it also still gives me the “TCP Test failed message”.
I just don’t understand.
No router, checked and dubbelchecked.
Emule added to Application and Network Monitor.
Logs appear to be fine although it does give me some weird message I haven’t seen before.
“Blocked by Protocol Analysis (Fragmented IP Packet)” and “Blocked by Protocol Analysis (Fake or Malformed UDP packet)”
What does this mean?
Hi Im new user of Comodo Firewall,
Im having some issues regarding the upload on my Emule.
I read all this posts but no asnwers to that.
I did the tips on first post and my ID is high. But it seems I cant do any uploads anymore. My downloads are fine.
Plz, can anyone help me with this problem? Or does anyone had the same issue?
Thx, in advance.
Iamn, welcome to the forums!
Have you ever been able to upload with Emule and CFP?
Do you get any message or alert from either application, when you try?
LM
Yes, before I was able to upload normally.
I reinstalled CPF, restarted PC, tried all things I could do to restore my upload, but nothing has worked.
Whts really happening is, I used to have high upload rate, now when someone tries to download from me on Emule it first starts uploading then it decreases to 0 Kbps upload. Its happening this same thing to everyone in my Sending tab on emule.
Before. Okay, before what? is our question…
At what point were you no longer able to? Something changed with your system; we need to identify what that was?
Do you remember when it changed, and what was occurring at that time?
LM
Lets see,
I wanted to changed my PC security softwares.
First of all I searched the web for some news on which one was the best Firewall (and antivirus).
I removed my older firewall and antivirus, then i tried Antivir + CPF. I really liked the CPF, but I wanted to test the Active Virus Shield: AVS (uses the Kaspersky engine, so it would be better).
OBS.: WHen I tried to install the Kasperky trial it didnt work cause it said that had some issues working with Comodo.
So i tried to remove everything again ( always restarting PC and cleaning my register of course) and installed first the AVS then the CPF. Worked fine, both updated, new rules for CPF for tcp/udp on emule, PC restart again.
Problem is, no uploads on my emule after these changes. No really good reason for that since, as I said before, the emule starts the upload the it fades slowly to 0kbps.
From the tests I have done on 3 different pcs the combination of:
- peerguardian
- CFP
- Active Virus Shield or Kaspersky 6
give big problems. On one pc I could not enter in windows. At the other 2 pcs it worked until I run some p2p apps. After about an hour it gives an error at peerguardian and after some minutes, the shell of the windows get corrupted and the varius windows begin to disappear one after another.
Some italian users report that they have no problems.
I guess that means that on some systems kaspersky and CFP can coexist but in other they will give major conflicts. ??? 88) >:(
Hellow from Spain,
I’ve just installed CPF, scanned apps… and works fine. If a new app tries to connect, it asks me what to do.
BUT when I opened emule, it connected (with low ID) and CPF didn’t show any popup. Emule is not in app monitor. When I opened TCP(in) and UDP(in) ports used by emule in network monitor, I got high id. Fine, BUT emule is not allowed nor blocked in application monitor!!
If I block emule in app monitor, emule can’t connect, BUT if I delete emule from app monitor, IT CONNECTS ANYWAY.
I have read the hole post and didn’t find anyone had this problem.
I thought even if it could be the previous firewall(Norton), but I uninstalled it successfully or it said so, at least.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
Welcome at the forums (:HUG)
Emule is a certified comodo application. This means CFP allows it by default. If you want to see it in the app monitor you must disable the option “hide alerts for applications certified by Comodo”
To add to pandlouk’s note, you can do the scan for known applications - Security/Tasks; follow the prompts and reboot. That should add it to the Application Monitor, without unchecking the Certified application option.
Also, if you uncheck “Do not show alerts for applications certified by Comodo,” when you reboot you will start to see a lot of popup alerts for system operations, which can be both confusing and overwhelming. Be aware that in that instance you will need to “Remember” and Allow svhost.exe; this is necessary to maintain your internet connection.

Thanks a lot. I didn’ t think it could be switched on “Do not show alerts for applications certified by Comodo”, because iexplorer wasn’t certified. But if you think about it, I wouldn’t certify it either. (:LGH)
