Email scanner is buggy and won't turn off

Hi,

I recently installed the latest Beta of Comodo antivirus, and I have a problem with the email scanner.

Firstly, apache consumes huge amounts of CPU (100% on one core), and secondly my email program keeps hanging. This happens even if I turn off email scanning. I used the SysInternals Autoruns program to remove the Comodo Email Scanner Winsock Provider, and everything went back to normal.

So, two issues:

  1. When the email scanner is disabled, can it be removed from the winsock provider stack?

  2. The email scanner must be only providing a partial implementation of some of the winsock provider functions, since it causes the strange behaviour in apache and my email program.
