Well, I’ve given up. I’ve dumped version 3 and gone back to 2.4 which works fine. Ever since installing version 3, the only way I can get my email client (Agent) to access my pop and nntp, is by disabling the firewall, which is less than optimal.
If it were only me, I’d say I must be doing something wrong, but I can see from the number of forum messages about email clients no longer working with version 3, that there is a definite problem in Comodo 3.
I’ve tried setting agent as an email client, a trusted application; I’ve moved it to the top of the list, I’ve manually set it up for various options on tcp, udp etc, etc, and the only thing that works is to disable the firewall.
I just have no more time to spend on this, so I’ll keep checking back here and if the firewall ever gets fixed, I’ll be happy to try it again, but for now, 2.4 it is.
