I am having problems with connecting to my e-mail server and another forum has suggested that this could be caused by COMODO firewall. I am using windows XP home edition and the other AVG forum directed me to a post which says:
" From CPF version 2.2.0.11 onwards we have added a new option called " skip advanced security checks " to an application rule’s Miscellaneous section ( this option will force CPF to skip leak checking on an application who has this option enabled.)
AVG Email scanner compatibility issue is solved when user selects this option with avgemc.exe."
Now this is techno garbage to me. What the heck do I do ?
I have replied to your other post on this topic, but I’m yet to see anything in either post that suggest you are actually running Comodo’s firewall. Just to make sure we’re on the same page, what version of Comodo Personal Firewall are you running?

Click on Security, then Application Monitor then right click the entry for AVG, go to miscellaneous tab and tick the box for skip advanced security checks.
