During the "incremental backup" files that did not change are processed in 4.3.5

During the “incremental backup” files that did not change are processed in ver. 4.3.5.2

For example, only one file has changed SmartBat.TXT but all files are processed.
I attach the log entry and file DebugInfo__10_01_2014__11_13_51.cbu

Files are reprocessed when at least one of the following conditions are met:

  1. File size are different (source vs destination)
  2. File time stamps are different (source vs destination)
  3. File attributes are different (source vs destination)

Are the source and the destination file system the same? Are they NTFS, FAT32 or something else?

Thanks

Size, time and attributes do not change.
Windows 7 Professional. NTFS.
When archiving files that are not changed, the time of their record is current, and not real.

PS. By the way, before such problems were not observed.

What do you mean by “current, and not real”? Are they the same as the source or are they current time?
Please check if the issue reproduces if you backup to another location (drive).

Thanks

I made a Backup first time in 17:12 13.01.2014
See Pic-1.

After this, no files were changed.

I made Backup the second time in 17:17 13.01.2014
See Pic 2 and Pic-3.

Hi,

Archive file attribute is not used for simple copy backups. Only the 3 conditions mentioned above are used.

Thanks

Perhaps You didn’t understand me !

You said that "Only the 3 conditions mentioned above are used.
These 3 terms and I’ll be using. On the other options, I do not say.

I use a simple copy, but “incremental backup”.
Again I repeat that every time overwritten files that do not change neither the size nor the time, nor the date.
I.e. unchanged files on 3 conditions are overwritten when the incremental backup.

This should not happen if the incremental backup!

But in the old version of the CB these files and not be overwritten (if neither the size nor the time, nor the date is not changed).
This error, which was not there before.

PS. So, if you do several times incremental backup in simple copying,
each time will be a FULL backup ? It’s wrong.

Hello !

Comodo Backup Version 4.3.6.6
Set options:
Backup Type: Incremental
Backup Source: Files and Directories
Backup format: Simple copy

But if you look at the results, we can say that the Backup is performed with the following parameters:
Backup Type: Full
Backup Source: Files and Directories
Backup format: Simple copy

I.e. instead of “INCREMENTAL” is “FULL”.

In earlier versions of CB was not such a problem.
