Dragon won't load any sites???

I’ve just downloaded and installed Dragon ver 4.1.1.12. The installation went well, however, Dragon will not load any inet pages? It just sits there and does nothing, then it asks if I want to kill the page or wait. I picked wait and after 10 mins the page still had not loaded? Any ideas?? I can use IE, FF, and or Oprea and all is well, but Dragon will not load any pages.

Thanks for your time.

Loading sites OK tonight. :-TU

solved. was caused by emsisoft antimalware for me. replaced by avast. working now.

Nice to hear that

JamesKB, please provide list of your security software because it seems like something is blocking Dragon browser.

Could you please look through your security software settings and logs (firewalls, AVs, HIPS ) to ensure that nothing blocks the browser ?

Thanks.

Anti-virus: Most current version registered Avast!
Spyware: Most current version of registered PC Tools Spyware Doctor
Firewall: Most current version of Comodo Firewall

I’ve looked through m security software settings and logs and see nothing that should stop Dragon.

Hope this helps.

JamesKB

Thanks a lot.

Investigated the problem.

PC Spyware doctor somehow blocks the Dragon from normal work.

If Spyware Doctor is disabled (turned off by clicking ‘Shut down’ in tray menu ) Dragon works.

Regards,
Valentin .

Is there a work-a-round for this problem?? I searched the PC Tools Spyware Doctor (SD) forum and find no reference to Comodo Dragon.

I think I have fixed the problem for now however. I shut down SD as you suggested BUT did not re-boot the machine as prompted. I tried Dragon again and low and behold it worked properly. Then I closed Dragon and restarted SD and tried Dragon again and it worked. So now I have SD running and I’m using Dragon to send this message. Weird. Do you think that for some strange reason what I did solved the problem?

Thanks for your time.

JamesKB

Nope!! Once I re-booted Dragon would not work if Spyware Doctor is running. Sigh…

I have d/l and installed CISPro. So, do I need to keep Spyware Doctor running or does CISPro do the spyware thing?

Thanks for your time.

JamesKB

CIS does the whole malware thing, there is no need for anything else.
