Downgrade over the web update

I have installed CFP_Setup_3.0.14.273_XP_Vista_x32.exe
Than I do “Check for updates” and CFP download and install 3.0.13 version :frowning:
Even more - If I manually download CFP_Setup_3.0.14.276_XP_Vista_x32.exe I can’t install it like upgrade - only remove old, restart, and install like new version. And I have lost all configuration in this case… :frowning:

I don’t know if it is too late, but you can save the rules and configuration for reuse in a new installation. Just click Miscellaneous>Manage My Configurations>Export. Click the configuration name on the balloon to open the Save dialog. Give it a meaningful name and save it somewhere easy to remember - maybe make a My Documents\CFP folder for it. Then after the new install, click Miscellaneous>Manage My Configurations>Import. Select the file you saved. Then you have to Select that configuration that you Imported. Importing does not overwrite the existing configuration, it just adds the saved configuration to the list that you can Select from. Sorry that you discovered the “Update” gotcha the hard way. It will be fixed soon, I hope.

Thanks. I have restored my configuration from backup export.
But I was surprised, that CFP can’t upgrade itself and keep configuration alive :frowning:

Hi, I think in the future it will be able to upgrade itself and still keep the same configuration. I believe only in this case was it the problem due to .276 not being officially released on the download site, the program would downgrade when trying to auto update. And yes, I experienced the same problem of not being able to install the patch over the older version. Hopefully all will be resolved.
