"Docking[atbp]Home lets you help the research by using your own computer in making the simulations while you’re not using it. It will enable the researchers to distribute thousands of computing tasks across a large number of computers of volunteers.
The goal of the said research is to look for protein inhibitors that would stop the virus from replicating itself throughout the body. It also aims to simulate the molecules’ interactions to come up with a possible drug.
Volunteering for this project is just as easy as registering and downloading the open source software called the Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing (BOINC). Your computer’s idle cycles are accessed and used when you’re not using it."
