Does COMODO block Javascript?

Hi All,

I know this is a silly question, but could COMODO in any way be blocking the running of javascript in my browser (Firefox 2.0.0.5) I say silly, because it’s my understanding that javascript comes with the webpage and that’s loading fine. I’ve checked all my Firefox settings and javascript is enabled, but some sites refuse to run JS properly.

Any ideas???

I don’t know of any way you can block JavaScript with CPF, but there’s an excellent extension for Firefox called NoScript that can

Ragwing

Could you give an example site or two? I’m curious.

What I think you’re saying is that the object is not to block JavaScript, but to avoid blocking JavaScript.

Hey shot in the dark but did FF, introduce a script fix in 2.0.0.5, i dont know!

Im with Ragwing never heard of CFP blocking javascript?

Not to my knowledge either. The remote possibility are blocked files in the Component Monitor list.

Thanks all. I’m pretty sure that there is no way that CFP could block javascript. I looked at the Component Monitor list (thanks, Soya) but nothing there either.

Guess I’ll have to try another avenue of approach…

Thanks again

Hi miles (:WAV)

As Ravenheart said can u give us the web pages ur having trouble with…

thanks novie

novie just reading your comments yesterday. when i updated to latest ff, it said something about to the effect not accepting java plug in. however it does show java in the pull down on ff. no problems with ff/comodo. darth

Darth, remember not to confuse JavaScript with Java.

Along those lines, I think a recent FF doesn’t work with the previous JRE (Java Runtime Environment - ie, Java). If you have had JRE installed, you may need to update it.
