Do I need to remove Comodo Internet Security 6.3 before I upgrade to Windows 8.1?
You might not need to but I’d recommend uninstalling CIS by following this guide, then install the Windows 8.1 update and after that is done install CIS again. Better safe than sorry in my opinion.

I upgraded to Windows 8.1 with CIS installed with no problems. Windows 8.1 is buggier than Windows 8 though. Just a fair warning.
