Do I have to host email on a domain to get an InstantSSL certificate?

Just a quick (probably dumb!) question.

My company has started a new domain that we are hosting ourselves. We have the domain up and working, except no one bothered to set up email services (yet) for this domain.

I am set up as a techincal contact in our network solutions account for the domain.

Will I be able to generate an InstantSSL certificate for the new domain, or do I need to set up email services in the new domain first?

No need to setup email services in the new domain.

You can use the email address which was applied for this domain registration to buy an InstantSSL certificate.
