Just finished uninstalling/chkdsk/defrag/image/reinstall CTM. I notice that scheduled defrag from disk properties is off which is good but when snooping around in Win 7 task scheduler, there is still a scheduled task to defrag once a week and it’s sitting on ready. Next date is of course a week from today. Should this task be disabled? The trigger is disabled but the task itself is not. Also what about boot optimization defrag, should it be disabled or is there a way to disable it?
Yes. Defragmentation will only increase CTM’s snapshots and won’t worth. You can/need to use the internal defragmenter of CTM.
Normal or boot defragmentation is the same. Will hurt much more than help.
