Was this issue between Comodo Firewall and DirectStorage somehow resolved?
I have the same issue: BypassIO not Supported due to driver: cmdGuard

Could you please tell us exactly what did and what happened ?
Also provide us the below detail:

  1. CFW version ?
  2. Win version ?
  3. Are you using any other security software simultaneously with CFW ?

No the issue is still there, only a very small amount of Anti Virus programs have yet to sort this issue out. Its down to the advanced features they offer over Microsoft’s own security systems that’s built into windows.

I just checked if DirectStorage is supported and/or enabled

Windows key + G/Settings/Gaming Features:

Graphics: Your system is DirectX 12 Ultimate ready.
DirectStorage:
GPU: DirectStorage optimised
OS: This version of Windows supports the latest DirectStorage IO optimisations

Drive status:
c:\ BypassIO not supported due to driver: cmdGuard

C driver is Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB (brand new, same was with previous 970 Evo Plus)

Hello COMODO team,
I have the same issue that is describe in this topic (COMODO + AVAST + WIN 11) fresh new install on a NVMe 980 EVO 2To.
And cannot activate DirecteStorage because of : cmdGuard
Do you have any update please? or i must change Comodo for an other software?

I noticed this has been ongoing since September 2022. We are now into the best part of August 2023.

I have used comodo for well over 15years. I’m shocked there is no public solution to this.
Will it be fixed or should I just uninstall.

C:\Windows\System32>fsutil bypassIo state c:
BypassIo on "c:" is not currently supported
Status: 506 (At least one minifilter does not support bypass IO)
Driver: cmdGuard
Reason: The specified minifilter does not support bypass IO.
Storage Type: NVMe
Storage Driver: Not BypassIo Compatible

Check how it is in the Beta version of Comodo, because I have no problem on this version

You sir, are a legend. The beta does indeed address this problem. It has had a nice facelift too. The dark theme is a very nice addition.

Will this version self update to the public stable when it gets released?
