Difference between C:\sandbox and C:\VritualRoot for Comodo Sandbox

I’m using Comodo Firewall V4 on Windows 7 x64.

What’s the difference between the C:\Sandbox and C:\VritualRoot? ???

When I installed an application, using the Right-click, Run in Comodo Sandbox. The location of the program came from the C:\VritualRoot.

Also is it spelt VritualRoot, or is that a typo? ???

Cheers.

No it is not a typo please read here.

So is C:\VritualRoot like a virtual Windows Registry?

C:\Sandbox\ was used by the previous version (.742). C:\VritualRoot\ is used by the current version (.779).

I deleted C:\Sandbox\ and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Sandbox\ after updating to .779.

Thanks.

Is the registry location same across all Windows on both 32-bit and 64-bit system?

nice catch :-TU thanks (now deleted, too)

Is that permanent, though? I remember that the AV key always regenerated after a reboot.

Yes, .779 uses HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\VritualRoot.

Oh yea. That virtual ritual root.

Guess i managed to avoid this from being created by launching CIS gui just after CIS installed (system is not rebooted yet) and disabling SB :stuck_out_tongue:

And that feels good, I guess? :stuck_out_tongue:

No wonder I never had this key before

Not bad  But i wrote that here simply to mention possible workaround to that… problem.
