I am running the free version of “Comodo Internet Security Premium 7” in Windows 7 64-bit.
When I try to run “DeVeDe 3.16.9 build 7” it will not start. I can see it in the Task Manager processes list but it will not run. If I uninstall Comodo completely DeVeDe works just fine.
How can I get DeVeDe to run with Comodo installed?
Note that DeVeDe is available here:

I am not using “DeVeDe 3.17.0 build 2” because it doesn’t work as well for me (this version won’t start either if I uninstall 3.16.9 and install it).
Try adding the executable to the Exclusions of Detect shellcode injections and see if that makes a difference.
That doesn’t work just adding “devede.exe” (I guess because it has dependencies like “mencoder.exe” and “mkisofs.exe” etc, but it DOES WORK if you add the whole “DeVeDe” folder. I’m not sure if this is the ultimate solution or not?
Just so others will know how to get it working this is exactly what you have to do:
If you have already tried to run DeVeDe, you can stop it from running before trying to run it again:
Right-click the taskbar, choose “Start Task Manager”, click the “Processes” tab, click “devede.exe” click “End Process”, close the Task Manager window.
Double-click the taskbar icon to open “COMODO Internet Security Premium”,
click “Antivirus” near the top-left,
click “Defense+”, click “Behaviour Blocker”,
after “Detect shellcode injections” click “Exclusions”,
click the arrow/tab near the bottom, click “Add” then “Folders”,
choose “C:\Program Files (x86)\MajorSilence\DeVeDe”,
click “Ok”, “Ok”, “Ok”, then close the Comodo window.
DeVeDe should work fine now.
Thank you for reporting back. It will be helpful for others with the same problem.
Adding the complete folder also works. That would have been my next advice.
