Defense+ Suppressing UAC Prompts in Windows 7

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate RC Build 7100
CIS Version: 3.14.130099.587

Since installing the software, Defense+ has been suppressing almost all UAC prompts when it is enabled. The only ones that it does not suppress is from an application that starts at logon. When a UAC prompt is displayed and Defense+ is active, Windows activates the secure desktop (grays the screen), but no prompt is shown. I then have to press ctrl + alt + del to exit the secure desktop, disable Defense+, and then re-run the application requiring UAC elevation, and re-enable Defense+ again.

I’m not sure if this is simply related to the RC version of Windows 7 I’m using, or if it’s a larger issue. I know that Defense+ is much more powerful than UAC, but still do not wish to disable UAC at this time.

probably this … + your system will shut down regularly starting on March 1  Def+ doesn’t interfere with UAC behavior.

The release candidate will not expire until June 1, 2010, although it will begin automatically shutting down at two-hour intervals starting March 1, 2010.

It is beyound me why you would like to keep UAC.
