Defense+ Setting

Hi,

i am using cis i have a questioen about defense+. The default Security Level is Clean PC Mode is this setting enough for a base security or what setting shoud i use anyway (Training, safe mode eg.)

clean PC mode should be sufficient. just make sure that your comp is 100% clean before you set D+ to clean PC mode.
(on clean PC mode, all of things on your comp prior to D+ installation is considered safe.D+ only warn for new apps)

Hi,

thank u for answering my question. Hm does exist any machine that is 100% clean? I think the Safe Mode shoud be better choise for me but i don’T have time to answer all the question like if i start e.g. den user rights management defense plus is asking if i start windows outlook he asks if i start regedit he is asking that is too much “asks” lol.

you can soak it in water,100% clean
but seriously, on a brand new comp for example? and like my comp (:HUG) it’s malware free.
safe mode is the optimum setting.but it comes with extra pop up ;D not to worry though. it’ll only last for couple of weeks.once D+ remembr all the rules,i’ll become quiet :-TU

If you know you can trust the application you should have only one Alert if you select it to “Trusted Application” and “Remember” the only alert you will get from the same app is it starting and other Executable that’s the only “Ask” rule for the Trusted Application definition, rest is allowed.
