Defense+ nview.dll intrusion

Every time I boot up my computer, I notice that Defense+ has blocked several intrusions ie system32\nview.dll. Flag: Access Memory, Target: COMODO Internet Security\cfp.exe
I am running CIS v5, XP SP3 both fully updated.
Defense+ is in Safe Mode
The file is already listed in Trusted Files, it’s an NVIDIA file.
My question is why is it blocked as an intrusion on the Summary page?

Does anyone know the reason please? Is it Harmful?

The blocking is part of CIS self protection. It simply blocks all memory access attempts. Most program are not bothered by it. Some are and then an exception can be made to allow memory access for that one application.

Thanks for that reply EricJH
Please can you tell me in baby language how to allow memory access?

As I stated, it is already listed in Trusted Files.

Thanks

To resolve the memory access problem:

Select Defense+ → Computer Security Policy.
Scroll down to Comodo Internet Security, select Edit → Protection Settings.
Interprocess memory Access (Active Yes) select Modify → Add -->Now use Running Processes or Browse to point to the concerned file(s) .
Then just “Apply” to each window as you exit.

Thanks a lot Eric, it worked a treat!
