Installed ‘CIS_Setup_3.8.65951.477_XP_Vista_x32.exe’, AV only, and upon restart got ‘CIS-bug.jpg’ and when I opened CIS, ‘CIS-D+.jpg’. What does this mean, especially the reference to a ‘virtual environment’? I’m not running it in VM or similar.

Also, before first update (which took at least 20 minutes) active AV protection was zero. Now it’s back but I still have a red “No Smoking” symbol on the tray icon.

Update!

After the second reboot the bug has not re-appeared and the “No Smoking” symbol has disappeared from the tray icon.

However, I cannot open COMODO from the tray or desktop icon, “CIS-busy.jpg” appears if I try to contxt-scan any file, IE freezes if I try to download or run ‘eicar.com’, and Process explorer shows no activity at any time for either ‘cfp.exe’ or the agent. Also when I shut-down or restart, cfp.exe hangs and has to be killed.

I couldn’t wait any longer…
