I got PFW update recently so I got to have set all network rules from scratch.
I wonder that I see some applications have quietly functional network connections without even having asked how they should be treated. This app is displayed in active connections list but has no own record in network rules list.
How is this possible?
I’m using these firewall settings: level SAFE MODE, create rules for safe applications OFF
That is because they are known to be safe applications, you won’t see them unless you turn on ‘Create Rules for Safe Applications’. They would then be listed.
so that applications that are known to be safe applications are always allowed regardles of Create Rules for Safe Applications option?
If you let The rules be created you should then be able to edit them as you like.
Or you can make a blocked application from your running processes if you want to stop something connecting out.
