Def+ and Firefox download window...

OK I’ve already posted in the MozillaZine forum about it,
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1117675&p=5876415#p5876415
with no feedback so far…I didn’t mention CIS, just that Firefox download manager might conflict with some security programs I got. Could be Avast, could be CIS: what’s happened during the past two days is the Firefox download window progression bar freezing and mentioning just “starting” (the Window GUI is not frozen). The download itself goes as normal, file is saved to HDD with FF notification popping up to tell that the download is done. But the download Windows remains visible like I said. I also have my settings in FF to clear all private data at FF closing time. Nevertheless, when I restart FF, if I call the download window, I can see those old downloads still appearing as either starting or finishing very quickly.

So that doesn’t make sense because one the downloads were already done and two download history should have been deleted. I have uninstalled FF3 and reinstalled it, created a new profile, and it happens again.

So my question here is: can Def+ interfere in such a way that those things happen, like monitoring something excessively. I’m not saying that it’s the case, just wondering atm. I got Def+ set at maximum (Proactive from setup time).
OK I’m being honest, I’m in Win7, but I doubt the OS has anything to do with that. CIS runs flawlessly on it; I just have to edit a couple of rules in Network policy to make FF be recognized as a browser, Thunderbird as an Email client etc…

I have reinstalled CIS recently to see if it was responsible (turned out it was not) for a network bug I had, and reinstalled it with Proactive Security profile. The former installation was with Internet Security profile. So may be it’s that. It seems like even if you set all def+ settings manually at max, it’s still not as strong as the Proactive profile that could apply some special rules…

One last thing, it’s not easy to deactivate features one by one in CIS and see what happens in Firefox because the bug is not constant.

system:
Win7/CIS 3.8/Avast 4.8/UAC on (Comodo AV not installed/FF3 integrated AV deactivated)
Firewall in safemode/Def+ in cleanPC mode

OK now I’ve switched to Internet Security profile in CIS and the download bug doesn’t happen anymore atm in FF. Doesn’t really mean anything, as like I said the bug is not constant…
