Problem description: When you manually sandbox a program that creates folders in unusual locations the files may not be virtualised. For example Softcat creates a data folder in My Computer/Documents. In this folder it creates database files. These database files are not virtualised when Softcat is run manually sandboxed and virtualised. They are saved and updated in the non-virtual location.
- Your Operating System (32 or 64 bit) and Service Pack revision: XP SP3 32 Bit (Pentium 4 CPU 3Ghz, 4Gb RAM) Admin account.
- CIS version: See title
- Other Security and Utility Software Installed: See appended config report for details. Usually: Comodo - CIS, CVE, CIV, CLP, CSE, CAS, IVault; Other- Filezilla, Wallwatcher, Sony Ericsson PC software, Actual Window Manager, Routerstats, Revo, Process Explorer, Google Desktop, Process Tamer, Process Explorer, Kiwi Syslog, Idrive, Clipmate, Hotspotshield, Stuffit
- Step by step description to reproduce the issue: Install Softcat from here. Then run it manually sandboxed virtualised using ‘Add a program to the sandbox’, change then save default database file to default location. Check where database file is updated with Explorer by comparing date modified.
- How you tried to resolve the problem: Save file to a different location and it is virtualised.
