D+ v3.14 compatible with Sandboxie?

I have two PCs with Windows XP SP3 x86 and CIS v3.14.130099.587 (firewall and Defense+ only). I have been waiting to upgrade CIS until the serious bugs have been fixed. I would like to install Sandboxie, but v5.0 is causing serious incompatibilities for many folks with XP and Sandboxie. See https://forums.comodo.com/format-verified-issue-reports-cis/cis-2011-free-breaks-sandboxie-346-350-nbz-t64640.0.html

I would like to hear about compatibility success or failure from anyone who has tried this combination:

  1. Sandboxie
  2. Windows XP
  3. Defense+ from CIS v3.14

Based on the forum feedback, I can decide whether to permanently disable Defense+ from CIS v3.14 before installing Sandboxie.

Haven’t tried that combination, but I use this combination.

  1. Sandboxie 3.5.
  2. Windows XP Pro SP3 x86.
  3. CIS v5. Firewall and D+ in Safe Mode, Internet Security configuration.

No problems whatsoever.

From the SandboxIE forum --Tzuk (the developer) said…

"I downloaded Comodo Firewall from the link in the first post, and I got COMODO Firewall version 5.0.163652.1142 which seems to be more recent than the version reported at the top post, version 5.0.162636.1135. – On Windows XP SP3, I’m not seeing any conflicts or problems…

Not really sure what to tell you. I installed COMODO onto my test system (which even already had AVG installed as I was looking into another problem) and then restarted the computer and I tried Run Any Program and Run Web Browser in Sandboxie and both worked fine with no error messages."

Maybe you should just make a system restore point and then completely de-install your old version of Comodo and then install Sandboxie and then Comodo.

If there’s a conflict you can always run a restore.

I’d advise updating by following these steps. It may save you trouble in the long run.
