If it isn’t then I must be…Basically I am getting very annoyed with D+. I find it absolutely amazing that you can set things in D+ such as Firefox to trust or something else and then it forgets.
I set Firefox.exe to Trusted…went back to custom
I set Ashdisp.exe to trusted and it goes back to custom
I set ashserv.exe to trusted and it goes back to custom
I set CCleaner.exe to trusted it went back to custom
I set WINDOWS\system32\wgatray.exe to Windows System application and its back to custom
I set WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe to Windows System application and its back to custom
I set %windir%\system32\rundll32.exe to Windows System application and its back to custom
I set %windir%\system32\services.exe to Windows System application and its back to custom
I tried everything and these keep changing…yes I ran in training mode for hours also
Ok so am I setting these wrong? Is Comodo ■■■■■■■■? I mean what is the problem? I remember we are supposed to choose something as much as possible instead of custom according to the video and also the help guid…It is getting very, very, very, very, very annoying
you seem to have a lot of questions don’t you ;). Well, the only thing I can think of is that before you select it as a trusted app, it already had some rules in it and that it then makes it a custom app ?
Have you tried deleting all the rules of the application (for example firefox) and when it’s pop-ing up again selecting it from the first pop-up as a trusted app ? Also, perhaps simply rebooting works ?
Have you had any of these applications ask for further permissions that you allowed and told to remember? If so, you have modified the predefined policy, so it is now ‘custom’.
Services.exe and rundll.exe are not quite safe files. They can be called to execute stuff by every program (including malware). Comodo probably overrules the user here.
when you click allow & remember. the rule will be set to custom. happens to me all the time 88)
maybe you don’t remember that you have click allow? ???
