[D+] copy paste problem

Hello,
I have D+ v3 in paranoid mode and win XP and when I try to copy & paste something the program that I want to paste in hungs up, until I disable D+. D+ doesn’t ask me to allow memory access nor is this forbidden for those programs…
And another problem; I cannot open the soundconfig, but this program isn’t anywhere forbidden in the D+ config.
What shall I do?

Thanks

Did you try putting D+ in training mode? What sound program are you using?

No I don’t/didn’t use training mode. But the problem is, that D+ does not ask me whether I want to allow explorer.exe starting sndvol32.exe (windows sound config). I also does not appear in the log. When enabling “safe mode” D+ automatically creates a rule to allow, but I do not want to have safe mode…
Btw; explorer.exe “Run an executable” option is set to “Ask” - but my pc doesn’t ask…

EDIT: Hm I just tried to run another program and D+ also does not ask me. Can ‘asking’ be disabled? Where can I enable it again?

If the programs are in the whitelist you will not be asked for most things even in Paranoid Mode.
Dennis

If those programs were in the whitelist, shouldn’t they be executed?

I have looked at your first post and see you where in Paranoid Mode you should get some alerts but does not happen all the time it used to work in the first versions and I changed to Paranoid Mode straight after reboot I have to run in Clean PC Mode for a short while now.
Dennis

I get absolutely no alerts while in paranoid mode… Thats the problem -.-

ideas?

Hey Frilm, I cannot answer your question about no alerts in paranoid mode;
You could try switching to learning mode, then executing your action that you wish to do, and switch back - while in learning mode it assumes that this is one of your everyday activities (it assumes safe) and creates an allow rule for this, after that you could switch to paranoid mode again and see what the results are. Do you get alerts in safe mode?
Safe mode only alerts you if the program that is trying to operate is unknown, and doesn’t bother you with things such as Windows Messenger because it is in the white list as a safe application. Paranoid is exactly that… PARANOID
