Hi. I am using Comodo for the first time and I need some help re how to create backup job(s) in order to meet my backup scheme.
I would like to perform this kind of backup scheme:
Every Sunday: create a FULL backup.
Mon – Sat: run incremental backup with the “full backup from previous Sunday” as a source of the incremental backup
Keep max of 4 FULL Backups including respective incremental backups, which equals to total of 4 weekly full backups + 4x6 = 24 daily incremental backups.
a. I would like to be able to go back in time for 28 days, which means that I would like to be able
to restore the data at the stage as it was on any of the previous 28 days.
b. On the 29th day the new FULL Backup shall occur and the oldest Backup shall be automatically
deleted including respective 6 incremental backups.
In addition I would like to keep last 12 monthly full backups for each month one backup.
Could you please advice how to set up backup job(s) in Comodo Backup in order to achieve the above proposed backup scheme.
Thank you for the support.
Kind regards.
P.S. Is there any other place that is more appropriate to post this topic?

I already read the Help file but can not find the answer. Help file is a bit general. Probably someone with more experience using Comodo Backup would be able to answer.
Anyway I have posted my questions in the CB Help forum as you suggested.
If you want the the base backup to remain the same I suggest you use differential, because incremental will use as base the last backup created.
Here are the steps:
Set a weekly scheduled full backup with destination (for example) “D:\myBackup.cbu” to run every Sunday.
See attached script.txt file, rename it to script.bat and set it to run as task before backup (in backup step 5) and check “Wait for task to complete” option.
Set a weekly scheduled differential backup with the same destination “D:\myBackup.cbu” to run every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The destination can be the same because all backups (full + 6 differentials) will be stored in the same file.
You can choose which one you want to restore in Restore Step 2 by selecting Snapshot.
