Crash when starting up firewall

Twice I’ve installed just the firewall. Both times it works fine but after a few boots but then will give me this message:

COMODO Internet Security has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

AppName: cfp.exe AppVer: 3.9.11372.506 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 003e083d

I’m running windows xp.

Hello Welcome to the forums.

Do you have any other security software that may be causing a conflict?

Please check your D+ logs;
Comodo → Defense+ → Events

No other security programs are installed on my machine. I don’t have that directory (I’m not using Defense+ just the firewall).
