CPM crash

testing out CPM for the first time today after CSC gave me bad impression.
finding out CPM crashes when it starts.
not sure why.
so for now, i will stay away from these 2 products of comodo.
this is what fears me the most.
especially about my plan to upgrade my CMF from v4.1 to v5
maybe i’ll stick with v4.1 for now.
dont wanna take risk getting my lappy messed up.

anyhow, back to topic.
i am attaching the screenie of crashed CPM below.
please have a look and hopefully there is an explanation for this problem.

Try updating the following Visual C++ librabries:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)

do i need to update all of them?

Update all of them. Assuming the error is caused by a not up to date Visual C++ runtime and there is no way of telling which version is not updated; just do them all.

They aren’t big downloads.

Other programs may need the latest as well. For example the Catalyst Control Center of ATI graphics adapter used to need the 2008 and now the 2010 library.

thank you.

i’ll see if it work.

I installed the CPM on my windows 7 laptop (64bit) and encountered the same problem. After I installed the
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64)http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=bd512d9e-43c8-4655-81bf-9350143d5867. It works properly now. :slight_smile:

Sorry, I need to correct my previous post. after I isntalled the Visual C++ 2010 redistributable. The error sitll appears but the visual studio beug can handle the exception and the CPM can run in consequence.
