If I use a regular Windows VPN connection (not Cisco) and then make a Remote Desktop connection, CPF doesn’t ask to authorize the Remote Desktop connection and the Remote Desktop connection fails. Furthermore, adding a rule to allow Remote Desktop doesn’t keep CPF from blocking access and it still fails. Allowing all connections allows Remote Desktop to succeed.
Steps:
-
CPF Running @ Custom
-
Start VPN, Connect Successfully
-
Start Remote Desktop without a rule in CPF
-
No CPF popup that Remote Desktop needs authorized
-
Remote Desktop Fails
-
CPF Running @ Custom
-
Add rule to CPF for Remote Desktop (authorize all)
-
Start Remote Desktop
-
No CPF popup that Remote Desktop needs authorized
-
Remote Desktop Fails
-

Remote Desktop Works
