CPF not playing nice with router

It appears I need some assistance with setting up a rule for my router.

I have an icon in my tray for my internet connection. It’s always animated and when I hover the mouse over it the baloon says “Aquiring network address”. This never stops. It is never able to complete the process.

Also, CPF’s log is filling up with entries such as…

Date/Time :2007-04-26 22:47:40Severity :MediumReporter :Network MonitorDescription: Inbound Policy Violation (Access Denied, IP = 192.168.1.1, Port = 2869)Protocol: TCP IncomingSource: 192.168.1.1:2440 Destination: 192.168.1.100:2869 TCP Flags: SYN Reason: Network Control Rule ID = 5

The blocks are all upnp - mcast, nbdgram, and ICMP so I’m assuming that it has to do with what I’m seeing with the icon in the tray.

The Network Control Rule in question (Id: 5) as predefined by CPF is…

BLOCK and LOG IP IN or OUT From IP [Any] TO IP [Any] WHERE IPPROTO IS ANY

My internet connection is working but this should not be happening.
Does someone have a minute or two to help me sort this out? Maybe it’s as simple as tweaking the rule. I dunno.

Hello. It seems that you haven’t defined a trusted network. Go to https://forums.comodo.com/index.php/topic,894.0.html and download the users manual how to define one.
