CPF eats lots of resources while busy P2P traffic

When I download a lot of files at a time using eMule and/or uTorrent, my XP PC gets real sluggish and I see cpf.exe eats up CPU 25-65% and sometimes 70 plus.

Have you seen this on your PC? Is there any remedy for this resource hug?
