CPF and wireless

I just installed the CPF and like it, I came accros it thanks to the good review on PC-magazine.
Good options and good clear looking interface. Could become a hit!

I just encounter 1 problem, I work with WIN XP pro.SP2 on a laptop.
With the windows XP-firewall I have no problems connecting my laptop to wireless networks or hotspots using my intel pro/wireless3945ABG card.
But when I use the Comodo firewall, I get connection problems. Only when I dissable CPF en reinstate XP-firewall, I can connect again.
There must be something wrong in some settings, but where??

Does anyone know this problem, or how to fix it

Hi Anando,

I assume you are using 2.2.0.11, you need to go to Security->Advanced section and disable the following options if they are disabled:

Security->Advanced->Monitor DNS Requests,
Security->Advanced->Secure the host while booting,
Security->Advanced->Secure against trojan protocols

After that please retry and let us know if it works. Otherwise, please also show your logs so that we can see what is being blocked.

Egemen

???
What you wrote I don’t understand(see below), I imagine that one of the words “disable” should be “enable” . but which one?
Or I just don’t get it?

Welcome at the forums. (:WAV)

Egemen meant to disable the above options if they are enabled.

The previously mentioned is fixed in the latest Beta Release - Final Release is on 24/08/06. Don’t forget to add your wireless router as trusted by clicking Advanced>>>Task and Define Trusted Area this should automatically pickup your Wireless Adapter and set 192.168.1.0 to 192.168.1.255 as trusted (these are your internal IP addresses your router uses). So to reiterate the above. Goto Advanced>>>Security and uncheck “Montior DNS Queries” (at the top right hand bit of the windows) and uncheck “Protection Against Trojan Protocols” (Lower Right Hand Corner Of The Window). Lots of things have been fixed with 2.3 and the stable is being released on 24/08/2006.
