I have a dial up connection shared on an ethernet connection with another computer. The other computer succeed to go in internet only when i set “allow all” in the comodo firewall. The XP firewall is disabled. In the ethernet connection i manually set IP and DNS.
I don’t know if it is important but the first computer have IP 192.168.0.1. The second computer have IP 192.168.0.2 , gateway and DNS 192.168.0.1. Have anyone a solution for this?
Do you have CFP on both computers? If so, you’ll need to do this on both.
Go to Security/Tasks/Add a Zone. Enter the Start/Finish range of your LAN, as you stated above, give it a name.
Then go to Security/Tasks/Define a New Trusted Network. Use the Zone you just created. This will add two rules to Network Monitor, in positions Rule ID 0 & 1. The first will Allow IP Out from Any to Zone; the second will Allow IP In from Zone to Any.
This is designed to allow unimpeded communication between the two machines, and should resolve your connection issue.
