We had a backup failed last night on a 2012 R2 server:

This is to a Buffalo NAS drive. We were using Windows backup on it before. Any thoughts on this issue?

Did you ever find a solution? I have the same issue with a Netgear ReadyNAS. It will retry every 5 min for 100 times and then error message.

Does this have anything to do with the issue of backing up to a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device where the backup path has to be specified in the format “\ComputerName\ShareName\BackupFileName”? For example, “\\Windows_Backups\Comodo_Backups\BackupFile”.

This workaround is mentioned by Comodo staff in this post – .
