connection dropouts & email problems

hi all…

  • The version of Comodo Firewall Pro Installed

  • Your Internet connection type (dial-up/cable/Direct connection/LAN etc)
    dial-up still…im poor & i cant help it lol

  • Operating system and Service Pack Level
    xp sp2

  • How you are logging in to the OS (Admin, User)

  • Other Security applications installed (AV, AS, HIPS etc)
    spybot, ad-aware, windows defender & avg free 7

  • Security related applications which have been removed/disabled before installing CFP.
    installed in safe mode

  • Security related application which have been removed/disabled after installing CFP.

  • Detail the problem, such as which applications are running when you have the problem.

i installed a couple days ago, everything was going well. next day i noticed there was an update available, so i did. things started went silly from there, which are:

my connection dropping every 3-4 hours.
annoying email problems: can only send email with text. no images, links etc. error says “smtp is being refused…”, also the same problem exists with gmail.

comodo imformed me of another update, i dl’d & installed it. well, so far my connection hasn’t dropped out yet fingers crossed lol but the problem with email still exists though.

  • Please inform us if you have created any custom rules.
    none…“set & forget”. alert freq. set to low
