Confusion on new network...

Hi All…

I am new to comodo and have some questions.

I have a network with two machines.

On each of them, I added a network zone of 10.0.1.0/255.255.255.0 called “MyNetwork”

When connectring to new network, I get the “new private network detected” dialog.

I can check the box next to “… be fully accessible…” and then:
OK
Close

What happens if I check the box, and then click OK?
What happens if I check the box, and then click Close?
What happens if I don’t check the box, and then click OK?
What happens if I don’t check the box, and then click Close?

2.) While I can ping each of them from the other, when I try to remote desktop into them, an alert pops up on the target machine. Why is this?

I went through the Stealth Ports Wizard, and selected Define New Trusted Network - stealth ports to everyone else.

My global rules are:

Allow all outgoing requests if the target is in [MyNetwork]
Allow all incoming requests if the sender is in [MyNetwork]

Any help is appreciated.

John

My guess, without any further info, is that this is a Defense+ alert, rather than a firewall alert.

Can you give any details on what the alert said?

Ewen

I have Defense+ disabled.

THe alert on the target machine is the standard comodo alert tellin gme that somethign is trying to conncet. I will dig up the text exactly later today – but I was under the impression that doing the things I did above would preventhe mesage from appearing and just let me connect. Am I mistaken?
