Hi
It is impossible to install Alcohol 52/120 when running CIS 5. Problem of compatibility?
I’ve read about it, and the only way to solve is uninstalling CIS 5 (or deactivating fw).
I think there must be a way configuring correctly the fw, but i don’t know how.
Some help?
Please read here there are some solutions, but they do not work for everyone sorry.

Sorry that you ae having this issue
I think if you carry out number 4 on this list here systematically and carefully, it will probably resolve your issue. Reboot after making adjustments, just in case a service is sandboxed.
Start by excluding the installer from BO protection.
Best wishes

Hello, (And Sorry for my poor english)
I haven’t try to exclude the “Installer” from buffer overflow (Because this time i have installed Alcohol before CIS5 .But since the release of CIS5, i had many times this same problem for the installation of Alcohol after the installation of CIS5 and/or for run alcohol with CIS5 ,with no solution).
But Finally the problem is resolved!!
I have exclude all the .exe in alcohol installed directory from Buffer Overflow and for the first time He’s Run perfectly !!
Finish,no more need to disable Defense+ or back to CIS4.
I think there is no need to exclude all the .exe from alcohol directory, maybe just “Alcohol.exe”,“AxShlExHlper.exe” and “StarWindServiceAE.exe”.
i’ll make some try.
Sorry if I am late and the solution of this problem is already known.
My configuration:
Win 7 x64
Comodo CIS 5
Comodo Cloud Scanner/Time Machine/BackUp/System Cleaner/Disk Encryption
Avira Antivir Free
