Configuring the firewall with the following rules

Hello all,

I’m looking at this page: How to stop YouTube sucking (Windows guide) | Mitch's Space

The tutorial is for the Windows firewall, but I figured that if I added the following rules to the “Global Rules” section of Comodo Firewall it would work…

I added the following rules:

  1. Block IP In from IP In [206.111.0.0/255.255.0.0] To MAC Any where Protocol is Any
  2. Block IP In from IP In [173.194.55.0/255.255.255.0] To MAC Any where Protocol is ANY

I turned on logging for these rules and… nothing. I’m not even sure if they’re doing anything.

Help, please?

With a stateful inspection firewall like Comodo you would need to filter the outgoing traffic to IP addresses you would like to block.
