Hi,
I am researching using a proxy server to encrypt my browsing to provide for increased security. I learned tonight that if you don’t disable java, a site can still detect your real IP. Is there a way to configure Comodo to prevent the IP from being revealed, or do you have an alternate suggestion for encrypted browsing?
Thanks!
Sue
A site can detect your real IP and your Local IP for that matter through javascript which is relatively easy to do.
Comodo would have to filter http traffic and stop a page from loading that has that capability in it.
What are you trying to achieve here, secure communications or hiding your IP address, these are two different issues.
Both, actually, but I don’t want to disable javascript or Java
