Complete Computer Lock at boot

So I was looking for a firewall to use since ZoneAlarm is now a bloatfest. I saw Comodo Version 6.3.302093.2976 from download.com.

I installed it, rebooted, and the keyboard would be frozen. Fixed that, then the computer would completely freeze at boot.

I have Windows 7 Home Premium. Went into Safe Mode and completely uninstalled Comodo and now when I do a regular boot, it still freezes at start and I can’t even move the mouse even though the Comodo application was removed.

Is there anything I can do to remedy this besides a complete format? Which I do not want to do…

Hmm im sorry to hear that. I mean your best bet is to do what you don’t want to do! Also next time just go to comodo site for the download because im pretty sure with the problems your having you got some malware!
Best Wishes

Hi nicholasjohnconger,
I would be more inclined to think that Zone Alarm was not completely removed before Comodo was installed.
Please run the Zone Alarm clean up tool found in the link below.

If all is well after running the tool and you want to try Comodo again, I would suggest following Chiron’s advice in the link below.
