Every morning I wake up to find comodo telling me there is an update available.

Infact there isnt! The last update according to the site matches the version number I’m using

If I update it updates reboots and does it again. Over and over again.

If I check for updates manually it says updates are available but then when it goes to download says no updates are avaiable.

I’ve uinstalled and removed ALL comodo files and re-installed still no luck.

Running Windows Vista Home Prem SP1

Have you changed remove items in the My Trusted Software Vendors list?
This is causing the problem of updates when there are none if you have.
